The government of the southern Indian state of Kerala has launched a crackdown on some manufacturers of herbal hair oil and beauty products after the state’s health and drug controllers found that the claims about the products were not true.

Chuck Brown, who styled a unique brand of funk music as a singer, guitarist and songwriter known as the "godfather of go-go," has died after suffering from pneumonia. He was 75.
Brown died on Wednesday at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, where he was admitted on April 18.
Thanks to Brown, go-go music was uniquely identified with the US capital Washington.

Tamil actress Udayathara, who made her debut in Tamil movie Thee Nagar and then went on to act in other Tamil movies like Kannum Kannum, Malayan and Vilai, tied the knot with Jubin Joseph in Kochi yesterday (May 16, 2012). Jubin Joseph is a Dubai-based pilot.
According to sources, it was a arranged wedding and the couple will head overseas for their honeymoon.
